When I was a kid and I heard the words Self Improvement, I thought it meant to quit smoking or lose weight or something along those lines. When I heard Self-Help, I thought that meant that you did it on your own without any help from anyone.
Isn’t it amazing what growing up (and growing older) will do for your thinking? Now I know Self Improvement can be anything in your life that you want to make better. And yes, that can involve quitting smoking or losing weight, but it can also mean conquering a phobia that you have or gaining more confidence in yourself. Or even anger management or time management. Maybe even becoming better organized or getting through a depression or an anxiety issue. Maybe you want to be a better parent or sleep better or become a better public speaker.
Now I think Self Help means whatever tools you utilize to accomplish your goals or to get what you want out of life. You don’t have to do it by yourself, you just have to do it for yourself! That’s what this blog is all about. I want to share with you all the things I’ve learned in my lifetime and all the research I have done about improving your life and making your little spot in the world a better place to be.
I am an avid web surfer so we will talk about lots of different issues that people face on a daily basis. If you get lost just refer back to the categories section. But hey, we can’t all be perfect although it never hurts to reach for that lofty goal.
If you are looking for a way to make you better, then fish keeping are the perfect solution. They give so much and in return they only ask for water-filled bowls that could potentially rot from sitting too long without being cleaned out every day or two weeks if their tank isn’t big enough.
